About Vivience AI · Research · Character Craft · Responsible Innovation
Where character craft, relational AI and
responsible research meet.
Vivience AI is an independent research and innovation initiative developing bespoke digital humans, relational-AI frameworks and applied human-AI experiences for creative, institutional and commercial use.

What Vivience Is
One initiative. Three connected capabilities.
Vivience connects original research, cinematic character production and applied implementation. None of these layers is treated as an afterthought.
01
Research Initiative
Investigating Affective-Emotive Resonance, persona scaffolding, memory, embodiment, relational continuity and duty of care.
02
White-Glove Digital-Human Studio
Designing one-of-one MetaHuman and Character Creator characters, voices, personalities, worlds, cinematics and interactive experiences.
03
Applied Innovation Partner
Translating research into prototypes, institutional pilots, cultural experiences, media, brand ambassadors, assistants and training systems.
Our Purpose
To make human-like AI more coherent, useful and accountable.
Vivience studies and designs the systems behind the face: identity, personality, knowledge, memory, embodiment, spatial context, interaction and relational boundaries.
The Standard We Set
ORIGINAL CHARACTER IDENTITY
PROJECT-SPECIFIC PERSONA
DEFENSIBLE KNOWLEDGE ARCHITECTURE
TRANSPARENT AI IDENTITY
RESEARCH-INFORMED EVALUATION
RESPONSIBLE RELATIONAL BOUNDARIES
CLEAR OWNERSHIP AND GOVERNANCE
Our Journey
From practice-based research to an independent international initiative.
FOUNDATIONS
Creative Technology and Virtual Production
Decades of filmmaking, real-time production, performance, character creation and immersive experience design established the practical foundation.
GEORGIA STATE RESEARCH PHASE
CMII and CHAI Ecosystem
Digital-human inquiry developed through Georgia State University’s Creative Media Industries Institute and Collaborative Human-AI Center environment.
2025
LightArch, Annelore and AER
Two distinct research personas and a neutral baseline supported a controlled comparative study of persona scaffolding and relational behaviour.
2026
Publication and Recognition
The AER paper entered IEEE Xplore and Vivience received Georgia State University’s Panther Innovations and Research Award.
NOW
Independent International Development
Vivience is advancing from Trondheim, Norway, while maintaining its documented research provenance and international creative-production lineage.

Founder and Principal Investigator
Prof. Jeasy Sehgal
An international filmmaker, creative technologist, educator and practice-based researcher working across digital humans, virtual production, affective computing, immersive simulation and human-AI interaction.
Sehgal originated the Affective-Emotive Resonance framework and directs the Vivience AI Research Initiative. His Georgia State profile documents research in digital humans, virtual production and empathic and emotional responses, while CMII identifies Vivience as an initiative directed by him.

Research Provenance and Ecosystem
Credible origins, stated precisely.
Vivience distinguishes documented research origins, collaboration, sponsorship context and present independent operation. These are not treated as interchangeable claims.
Georgia State University
A Carnegie R1 research environment where the foundational research and interdisciplinary implementation were developed.
Creative Media Industries Institute
The creative-technology and graduate environment supporting digital-human research, virtual production and prototype development.
Collaborative Human-AI Center
The human-centred AI ecosystem associated with Project AnimaSentio, graduate research activity and participating-faculty visibility.
CETLOE Catalyst Cohort
An interdisciplinary collaboration with Dr Kristie Seelman on realistic scenario-based virtual productions for social-work education.
Research context: the published AER research acknowledged Army Research Laboratory sponsorship under Cooperative Agreement W911NF-23-2-0224. Institutional and sponsorship references describe documented contexts and do not imply endorsement by Georgia State University, the Army Research Laboratory or the U.S. Government.
Global Creative and Research Footprint
New Zealand origins. Atlanta development. Trondheim future.
Aotearoa New Zealand
Creative and entrepreneurial foundations shaped by film, visual effects, emerging technology education and the Weta-era production culture.
Atlanta, United States
Academic, research and development through Georgia State University, CMII, CHAI and the city’s film and creative-technology ecosystem.
Trondheim, Norway
The independent European phase, focused on relational AI, responsible deployment, research partnerships and international commercial translation.
How We Work
Principles before scale.
Vivience is developing deliberately. Each project must protect creative distinction, research integrity and the people who interact with the resulting system.
Research-Led
Claims should be connected to evidence, limitations and continuing inquiry.
Bespoke by Design
Every character, persona, knowledge architecture and world responds to a specific brief.
Transparent
Artificial identity, supplier roles, data use, limitations and responsibilities should be visible.
Responsible
Relational impact, privacy, human escalation and potential harm are considered during design.
Collaborative
Complex work is strengthened through specialist artists, researchers, technologists and client expertise.
Independent Initiative
Clear engagement structure.
The contracting entity, jurisdiction, intellectual property, data responsibilities, deliverables and support obligations are defined in each agreement.
Selected Recognition
Research, creative practice and public scholarship.
IEEE Xplore
Peer-reviewed publication of the Affective-Emotive Resonance framework.
Panther Innovations and Research Award
Georgia State University recognition for interdisciplinary innovation and translational research impact.
